    Custom firmware and case for a distraction-free reading experience.

    About

    Commercial e-readers are increasingly filled with social features, store promotions, and other distractions. This project creates a truly minimal reading device.

    The mod includes:

    • Custom firmware that removes all non-reading features
    • Physical buttons for page turning (no touch needed)
    • Battery optimization for 8+ weeks of reading
    • Sideloading via USB
    • Custom 3D-printed case in matte black

    This project is archived as I've moved on to other hardware projects, but the firmware and case designs are available for anyone who wants to build their own.
